Mary Blair inspiration

I have come across an illustrator- Mary Blair, through the advice of one of my tutors, Kathy. I was completely in awe of the illustrations and was absolutely in awe of her work and it gave me a few ideas on which direction i would like my background designs to go. I decided to go to Trebah Gardens on the weekend and it was absolutely perfect as i found loads of beautiful leaves, which i collected and scanned in. I will now create some Mary Blair inspired art work, which i think will go a lot better with my stylized characters. Here are a few of my favorite examples of her beautiful work
