I have decided, to create some watercolour textures to make more background designs with. I used various techniques, such as scrunching up the paper whilst it was still wet and using a sponge instead of a brush. There are also some watercolour pencil textures. I will also be using these textures as backdrops for my character layouts, as i think using the same colour as i would in the final animation makes the characters pop off the page, rather than just using white backgrounds. Here are some of the textures and my FINAL character designs. These are the character designs i showed at my pitch, which went quite well and the animation got approved to move on to the next stage in the process, which is the animatic.
